About this service

What is foot & ankle rehab?

The foot and ankle are where Creekside started, and they remain our deepest specialty. Twenty-six bones, dozens of muscles and ligaments, and the entire weight of your body move through this small, complex structure with every step. When something there breaks down, the whole chain above it — knee, hip, and back — compensates. Our therapists build focused, hands-on programs that restore strength, mobility, and confident movement to the foot and ankle, whether the problem is a stubborn case of plantar fasciitis, a sprained ankle that keeps giving out, or recovery after a fracture.

From symptoms to solutions

How we diagnose

Your first visit is a full one-on-one evaluation — usually 45 to 60 minutes. Your therapist reviews your history and goals, watches how you walk, and examines the foot and ankle directly: where it hurts, how it moves, how strong it is, and how the joints above it are compensating. From there you leave with a clear explanation of what is going on and a written plan you can start the same day.

Treatment options

Treatments we offer

The foot is the foundation. We treat it that way — restoring its mechanics first, then rebuilding the strength and movement patterns that keep the injury from coming back. Care is conservative, hands-on, and built around getting you back to walking, working, and running without pain.

Manual therapy
Hands-on joint mobilization and soft-tissue work to restore motion and calm pain in the foot, ankle, and lower leg.
Targeted strengthening
Progressive loading of the calf, intrinsic foot muscles, and ankle stabilizers — the strength that actually prevents re-injury.
Blood flow restriction (BFR) training
Build strength with light loads when a healing foot or ankle can’t yet tolerate heavy weight — ideal early after a fracture or surgery.
Gait and balance retraining
Re-teaching the foot and ankle to absorb load and balance correctly so the rest of the chain stops compensating.
Bracing, taping, and footwear guidance
External support during recovery plus practical advice on shoes and inserts that work with your foot.
Home exercise program
A structured plan so progress continues between visits — and so you have the tools to stay healthy after discharge.
